My House

to all you mothers from this kid
Back to Full Blog

You ladies have to have the toughest job on earth. When I think of all the people that are on this earth, all the bottles and diapers it took to get them up and going....wow! My hat is off to you. I don't know where you get all your energy from but it must come from an endless source. It does require a special person to be a mother, not just to give birth, but to do all it takes to get baby up and going down the road on their own. God truly gave your gender something he did not give to a man thats for sure. When I think about my own mother,(she is on the other side already)I just wonder if I ever just said thank you mom for being the best mom you could ever hope to have. That being said, thank you mothers of the world for all you have done for us kids. I hope some where along the line we let you know just how much we love and appreciate you.

From just one of the Moms in this world, THAT is music to my ears ...
I hope my own "kids" feel the same way although they don't say it very often ... In fact, they seem to be in the "call me only if they want/need something phase" ... lol ...
That's okay ... The grandkids more than make up for everything!
And I can always call my Mom or Grandma and tell them how WONDERFUL they are!
Life is good!
Huggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor

Ochoco...The special bliss that comes from being a mom, is to see your children thrive as they grow and mature - to see that they've become good and responsible human beings. Then you know you've done something right to guide them along the way.
Have a wonderful holiday!!

That was beautiful! You made me cry! I am adopted and always get really upset when people ask me about my "real" mother....meaning the one that gave birth to me. My REAL MOTHER was the woman that raised me. Great post!

Hi Belle, I certainly did not intend to make anyone cry....I'm sorry. I am not adopted, but I have 3 adopted children.....I had 3, one has passed on. I also have one that I am the "real father" to. I could not love anyone anymore than I love all my kids. And one of my daughters has a child of her own.....a grandson, and he has taught me how to love unconditionally. Today he is a junior in high school, star varsity basketball player and captain of his team. They all have been a real joy in my life. I am sure you have heard "blood is thicker than water" maybe so, but real love knows no boundaries. Their is no blood between a man and wife, yet some of those relationships can last close to a century, and many last 50 years. Adopted or Real....who should care, that one loves another is all that matters. Have a great day Belle

Wow, I just read this post, ochoco. Thanks. I needed that. I have nine children (3 biological and 6 adopted) and have raised a number of others through the foster care system. Sometimes the work seems unrewarding at the time and I have a couple of children who have a hard time showing they care. Your words are so heartfelt though that they actually make up for the lack of some of theirs. Thanks again.
