My House

Today finds me in kind of a haze I guess might describe me. There are those things that I really should be doing but I am just not going to. Do you ever have one of those days where you feel like there is something you really should be doing but you cannot put your finger on exactly what it is? That is my day today, I have plenty of energy to do what ever might need doing, and I can think of a few things I need to do, but nothing real pressing. This could be a gratitude day I suppose....you know like I am glad I am not the President of the United States. I am also glad that I do not live in Iraq and have a last name like Hussein. Futher I am glad that I am not on some states prison death row, in fact I am grateful that I am not setting in the back of a police car somewhere wearing a pair of those metal bracelets headed to anyplace of lock-up. I am grateful for a roof over my head, food in the refrigerator, gas in my truck, shoes on my feet, and I am also glad their are some like yourself that take the time to listen to my ramblings. I do so hope that all of you out there in the stream are having a wonderful warm winter. May God Bless, and remember to keep on the sunnyside.

You ladies have to have the toughest job on earth. When I think of all the people that are on this earth, all the bottles and diapers it took to get them up and going....wow! My hat is off to you. I don't know where you get all your energy from but it must come from an endless source. It does require a special person to be a mother, not just to give birth, but to do all it takes to get baby up and going down the road on their own. God truly gave your gender something he did not give to a man thats for sure. When I think about my own mother,(she is on the other side already)I just wonder if I ever just said thank you mom for being the best mom you could ever hope to have. That being said, thank you mothers of the world for all you have done for us kids. I hope some where along the line we let you know just how much we love and appreciate you.

OK guys and girls, I went yesterday with our youngest daughter and grandson to watch Green Bay and San Francisco battle it out at the old Candlestick Park.....now called Monster Park. Grandson and I....Packer fans....Daughter San Francisco fan. Those of you that are football fans know the outcome of that game. Thousands of people drinking lots of beer and making deafining noises. I think that shall be my last "live" football game. While I enjoyed spending the day with my daughter and grandson, I was not particularly enthused with the spectator activity. You know.....the smell of stale beer, alot of abusive verbal behaviors and even some aggresive physical behavior. Oh well, all in the name of professional sports right? And trying to get out of the park in your vehicle after the game was a nightmare. I think I shall take my sports via the tube from this day forward. You all have a great day, and may God Bless.

My God is real for I can feel him in my soul.....remember that song? My God is real for he has washed and made me whole....his love for me is like pure gold....my God is real for I can feel him in my soul. What a wonderful feeling that is when we have one of those times when we are truly connected to his amazing grace. Days like yesterday with family and friends joined together in praise to him for all things good bring about (for me) moments where I can truly feel his presence in my life. What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. Prayer changes things, not always like we might like certain things to change, but none the less "He" does change things. Talk to Him when their are difficulties, also talk with him when you are having a wonderful day...He just might have had something to do with it. My God is real for you can feel him in your soul. May the blessings of our God be with you during these wonderful holiday times.

Though I am no longer young, I have much which He's begun. Let me serve God with a smile, and go with others the extra mile.
