My House

 the real deal

Here go the fathers of the world believing that they are the cat's meow. It's just amazing how much love a child has to have in order to share that love with such an animal. He is never home, can't cook, snores terribly, thinks PTA means place to avoid, and Mickey Mantle, Joe Montana, Lebron James, and Willy Nelson have not a thing on him. But I guess just for one day a year we can help him to believe that he really is the best. So for those of you that are fathers....Happy Fathers Day, and I pray that our Father in heaven will help your children to help you continue to believe in yourselves. May our Father in Heaven richly bless your special day....ochoco

 Fathers love

Any of you out there ever wish you could hear your mother or father pray again? I remember my father saying grace at the dinner table one time, and my mother maybe 2 or 3 times. However I can remember seeing my father on his knees in prayer many many times. Both of my parents especially my father, read the bible. Mother liked attending church services, but my father was not really into it. Net result of that...they did not go that much. The impact on me....I do not attend church that much, I talk to my Father in Heaven multiple times each day, I love that quiet inner peace that a love for our Father in Heaven can bring. I also love my Father in Heaven, thru Him all things are possible. And one of the parts of his sharing with us that I really love, "I will never leave you nor will I forsake you." So I thank you Mom and Dad, for giving me that same quiet spirit in the Lord. And so Father in Heaven I pray that this love is passed on and on in my family, and in the many families of the world.

 what a glorious day

I woke up this morning at about 530am. Turned my coffee pot on went out and got the morning paper. On the front page was a huge article on children with Crigler's syndrome. After reading the article it made me alot more aware of the many wonderful blessings my wife and I have enjoyed over the years. Our children, and now our grandchildren have not had to endure any long term disease....God is great. Why did those children have a terrible thing like Criglers and our children not? I think one reason is, that it would take an indiviual with alot more compassion, love, and caring than I personally have. I cannot imagine the level of love and caring you would have to have to get your children through some of the terrible diseases that are out there. This day and every day has a "master plan" in place to cover everything we humans will encounter. Our Father has his eye on you, and he really does care. Our position is not one of always understanding, but rather just one of just going ahead and doing what we know to be right. As we approach another Memorial Day, I believe that no where is the sorrow of the world for our "War Heros" felt more than in the Father's own house. I believe that tommorrow the Angels of our God will spend the day weeping, and so to will our Father. I wish for all of you a glorious Sunday, and tommorrow a peace for your sorrow. ochoco

 Mothers Day

A very Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers of the world. I hope your Day finds you at peace, and with those that you love and those that love you. You that are mothers have been truly blessed, and those of us that are children have been truly blessed to have you. May the Angels of the heavens soften your day with love, laughter, good food, a warm and dry home, and lots of family hugging and kissing you.....ochoco

 Spring

Good wonderful Spring morning to all. What a fine looking spring day, I think mornings like these are made for those that live in areas where you have those really cold snowy winters. Kind of a payback for enduring some really tough cold winter days. My toughest day is one with the wind blowing. I know some of my intolerance of the wind is mind set. Some is a Thyroid thing, those of us that have low production Thyroid glands are extra sensitive to cool or cold air blowing against our skins. Now I do know that our Father above gives us the wind as well as the wonderful warm sunshine, but try as I might I find it very difficult to be grateful for it. But anyway, I did not get on here to complain, how can that be so on such a beautiful day. So here is wishing all of you a glorious weekend, and may the wonderful sunshine of our Fathers love richly Bless you....ochoco
