 this way and that

Well here we are at another day of rest. I was thinking about a trip to Salt Lake City that the wife and I made 2 years ago. I had always wanted to go and listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Incidentally I am not Mormon, and I have not one thing against the Mormons or any other religous group that I can think of. We got a hotel close to Tabernacle Square, with a window on the 7th floor that overlooked the Square. My wife tired from the trip to Salt Lake, she was into a nap. And I could not wait any longer to set foot on the famed grounds. So away I went. Once on the grounds near the Tabernacle there was music being played thru some strategicly place speakers. At the entrance end to the Tabernacle were some windows that you could look thru and see just about the entire inside of the building. A fella standing next to me knew much about Tabernacle Square, and said in just a short time the choir and the orchestra would begin a practice session and that those who wanted could go inside and listen. I ran and grabbed my wife and hurried back. Inside we went and down we sat. 350 choir members and at least a 100 piece orchestra started to make music. My, my what a beautiful sound. The next day was Easter Sunday, and we were able to attend their annual Easter radio broadcast. Such a thrill to be there and hear in person their music. They have the second largest pipe organ in the world inside their building. It has over 1,000 pipes, such a beautiful sound I could not describe and when 350 choir members start singing along with it, you can absolutely forget about the outside world. The acoustics inside the Tabernacle are unbelievable, you can actually hear a pin drop at 50yards away. Oh well enough flash backs. Any of you music lovers out there owe it to yourselves to go and listen to the music they make at the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City Utah. Don't bother to do any religion bashing with me, I am just not interested. We are all God's children and he loves and cares for each and every one. Have a wonderful Sunday. Dennis

 tribulations ended

Ever wondered if you have missed the mark by a mile? For me its more like 5 miles. All those wasted brain hours on worldly things that would not make one bit of difference on the final out come of things. I sometimes wonder if I am the only one in this world whose brain works this way. Trials and tribulations, most of which I created myself. Sometimes I think I am being tested, when in actuality its just me stressing myself out. Their is not a doubt in my mind that Devine intervention occures. And it not only comes in the physical scope of things, but also in the mental scope as well. So, if I cannot blame Satan for all the bad things that happen in this world and in my life, that leaves only one--and I guess you know who that is. When things are not exactly right in my life, I know my motor needs tweeked just a little. When I finally quit squirming and just concentrate on those things that are right in front of me to do (and do them)my life seems to get back on track. The water then begins to smooth out, the clouds go away, and once again I am basking in the warm sunshine. Thank you Father.
